Let’s Talk About Dressing While Pregnant

Okay, so let’s talk about dressing while being pregnant — “dressing the bump.”

This is my fourth pregnancy now — although one was a missed miscarriage — and I’ve never really understood how so many women manage to look so amazing while being pregnant.

Personally, I was lucky because my due dates were always in summer or late spring, so when my belly was really big, I was able to wear dresses, which was easy and comfortable.

But now I see all these pregnant moms who still look like they’ve stepped out of an editorial — and I’m obsessed! How do they do that?

Take, for example, Pernille Teisbaek (@pernilleteisbaek), Viky Rader (@vikyandthekid), and my current styling role model, Nina Sieber (@ninasieber). They all dress amazingly! And all of them dared to wear their bumps proudly and show them.

I don’t know why, but I personally always feel a little bit uncomfortable with my bump — even though I love the little human growing inside me. I think I’m just a bit sensitive about showing it. Maybe also because everybody is constantly commenting on how big my belly is and asking if I’m sure there’s only one baby inside.

So for me, starting my blog and showing myself in outfits during the final stages of pregnancy is a huge step outside my comfort zone.

So to all my ladies out there — how do you feel about pregnancy looks? What do you like, and what do you not like at all?

I’m curious to hear your thoughts.

Lots of love,

Alisa
