The Guest Bathroom
When friends come over to our house and ask me which is my favorite room, my answer mostly surprises them — really like our tiny guest bathroom.
As mentioned, it is tiny, but it has my favorite wallpaper inside. It is from Beata Heuman https://beataheuman.com/products/marbleized-wallpaper. She is an interior designer and my absolute favorite. One of my life goals is to design our next home together with her. The way she puts things together, always having an eye for something special, and the colors she uses are absolutely stunning.
I also really like the curtains we have in here — they were custom-made by https://www.tapetenfischer.de/. The two sisters who have now taken over the business in the fourth generation have impeccable style and are great to work with. Even if you have just a small project, they treat you like you’ve booked a big one with them.
The picture on the wall is our family crest, which my grandfather found during one of his searches into our heritage. He loved diving into history, and it means a lot that we still have this at home.
Normally, I’m not the biggest fan of dried flowers, but in this case I love them and think they tie in really well with the rest of the room’s aesthetic.
Oh, and I am obsessed with the Byredo Vetyver Hand Wash https://www.byredo.com/eu_de/p/vetyver-handwash-450ml— I love it!
What makes a room special for you? Even if it’s unusual or very tiny?
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Lots of love,
Alisa
